Volunteer Gardener /Grounds person 

 

Rochdale Children’s Moorland Home, is a charitable, seasonal residential holiday home, for primary school aged children, located in an idyllic rural location. We are looking for a volunteer grounds person/ gardener to join our team.

The Home opens at the beginning of March and closes at the end of the summer holidays.

We are looking for volunteers to help with general garden maintenance including planting, weeding and tidying up. This may also include:

– Plant, prune and caring for shrubs as necessary

– Weeding flower beds and mowing of lawns

– Planting and maintaining garden areas

– Undertaking minor repairs

Successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. This position is exempt from the provision of The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. DBS costs will be paid by Rochdale Children’s Moorland Home.
